A street with something to hide.
One devastating night changed everything. But the truth of what happened lay decades in the past.
Glendale, 1975. In the quiet, close-knit street of Stanley Place, several teenagers have the world at their feet. School is finally over, summer has arrived, and one of them is on the brink of rock-and-roll stardom. Their futures seem bright, and their bond unbreakable until three days before Christmas.
An innocent midnight trip to the beach ends in a horrific car crash. Four young lives are cut tragically short. The community is shattered, and the blame falls squarely on the shoulders of the lone survivor: nineteen-year-old Raymond Yeoman.
Was he speeding? Was he drunk? Or was he simply reckless?
Maggie knows he's not to blame. She is. If only she'd spoken up sooner, the tragedy might have been prevented.
Together with her best friend, Stacey, Maggie pieces together the events of that fateful day and uncovers a truth far more disturbing than anyone could have imagined: the crash was no accident.
Stanley Place is a gripping Australian mystery about friendship, betrayal, and the devastating cost of keeping the past buried.
