Life as Point Pleasant’s magical liaison rarely goes according to plan.
Megan Miller is beginning to understand that life as Point Pleasant’s magical liaison rarely goes according to plan. When Miranda, the local Warden, asks her to meet at the hospital, Megan expects another difficult day. Instead, she learns a Selkie named Cara was found unconscious on the beach beside the body of her murdered sister-in-law.
With Cara still unconscious and her stolen sealskin leaving her trapped on land, no one knows whether she’s the intended victim, the prime suspect, or the only witness to what really happened.
As Megan digs deeper, she discovers the two women ran a marine wildlife rehabilitation center that had made powerful enemies. A coastal realtor blames them for derailing lucrative waterfront projects, while the local harbor master has long resented the disruption their rescues caused in the marina. Everyone has a motive. Everyone has something to lose.
But Megan has problems far bigger than a single murder. The Sanctum’s influence inside Point Pleasant is growing, threatening the fragile balance between the town’s mundane and supernatural communities. Every day Megan spends investigating is another day the secretive organization has to tighten its grip. The sooner she uncovers the truth, the sooner she can turn her attention to the threat she fears most.
Because in Point Pleasant, the deepest secrets are always waiting beneath the surface.
Perfect for fans of witchy small towns, found family, and cozy mysteries with a magical twist, this paranormal cozy will keep you guessing until the very end.
