As darkness descends and time runs out, will Robin and Sparrow conquer evil with love until the end?
Robins are the first birds to start the dawn chorus and even sing through the night. They will also fight to the death to defend their territory, the red of their breasts a sign of the wounds they will risk.
Imagine if one of them is a Christian, and the farm in which he lives is the rest of the world. Meet the indomitable Blue Tit, with his bright and playful boldness; the uncompromising Wagtail, whose feathers are simply black or white; and the witnessing Jay, with her radiant wing flash and arresting call. But Magpie, who is greedy for shiny things, preaches a false promise of prosperity; Green Woodpecker, with her unique gift of tapping, is determined to be centre-stage; Crossbill, with his twisted beak, distorts the truth with his prophetic words; and the white Goose, who looks very like the grace-filled Swan but isn’t, offers only a pretence of forgiveness and loyalty.
As Crow’s wickedness turns light into darkness in their world, and time grows short, will Robin and his faithful friend, Sparrow, conquer evil with love and remain true until the end?
