Blurb

The Princess Programme wants perfect girls. It gets four old witches instead.

Princess Alba is the rising star of the Princess Channel, but when she stops broadcasting, only her wicked stepmother thinks it's strange. So Octavia, former Evil Queen, takes a potion to make herself young again and auditions to be a princess—dragging the rest of The Old Crones Club along with her. Behind the tiaras and smiles she finds contracts nobody is permitted to read, ever-growing debts, and a ranking system that decides which girls are worth keeping. She also finds an audience and remembers she likes it a little too much.

Griselda is there for something else entirely. She's spent two years putting her plans for revenge on hold as she cares for a sister who can't remember her own name. Now there's a rumour that a Grimm Brother is hiding somewhere inside the castle walls, and an itch under her skin that will not stop. Both of them are faking it. But which one will lose herself completely?

If you love witchy fairy tale retellings, witty older heroines and found family, you'll love the second book in The Old Crones Club series. Perfect for fans of T. Kingfisher, Wicked and Alix E. Harrow.

Author

Jennifer Taylor-Gray writes fantasy filled with clever heroines, unruly magic, and women who break the rules to write their own destinies. Her debut novel, The Old Crones Club, features fearless women, buried secrets, and twists that keep you turning pages late into the night.

Raised on stories about strong, independent women—from Matilda to Jane Eyre—Jennifer believes every great tale begins with a woman who refuses to be silenced.

When she manages to find a free moment, she enjoys reading, swimming, and going on silly adventures with her husband.

Jennifer is determined to sneak a dragon into each of her novels—even the ones set in modern-day London.
