Where truth and ethics clash.
Without warning, Timothy Shea, a clinical psychologist, is thrust into the middle of a criminal investigation. The circumstantial evidence against him is compelling, but he maintains his innocence, claiming that he is being framed. In his pursuit of exculpatory evidence, he discovers a deep, dark secret involving patients at the clinic—one that implicates renowned psychiatrist Abner Reeves. Professional ethics—the patient's privilege—bar Timothy from disclosing the treachery of Dr. Reeves. Timothy tries various means to circumvent the privilege and expose Dr. Reeves' conduct. Dr. Reeves has too much to lose if his secret gets out, so he wages a campaign to discredit Timothy. On the verge of being tried for heinous crimes, Timothy sets out on his own in a last-ditch effort to exonerate himself, making him vulnerable to the trickery of the cunning Dr Reeves. The ensuing battle between these two strong-willed therapists shrouds the truth until it rears itself among the ruins of their professional lives.
