A bruising defensemen. A wounded sports photographer. Some love stories refuse to stay out of frame.
Eden Morris has dropped everything to move across the country, leaving Toronto—and her vile ex-boyfriend—behind. With a little help from her mother, she lands a job as a sports photographer in Calgary, Alberta. A change of scenery is exactly what she needs. That, and to stay far, far away from men.
Hayes Smithson has been carrying the same label since he started playing hockey for the Calgary Chinooks: roughhousing womanizer. He doesn’t mind much. The reality that he’s a simple man from small-town Saskatchewan, who likes restoring old cars, isn’t nearly as exciting. These untruths offer the public a persona to cling to and to help cover his heart, which hasn’t stopped bleeding since he found his fiancée with another man.
Eden just wants to hide behind her camera and do what she does best. Hayes needs to be on the ice; it’s the only place where his head feels clear. Too bad a split-second mistake on icy roads has them colliding.
