Beth is a twenty-three year old student at Yale Law. She's far from her sleepy hometown of Cobh, Ireland and she doesn't have many friends.
She walks by a spooky old house every day on her way to classes, and she finds herself wondering who lives inside. The house reminds her of the old world, of home. She pictures a big library, a real fire in a real hearth, and the company of women, maybe even a coven.
What she gets instead is Annabelle.
Annabelle emerges from the haunted mansion one day, chases Beth down, and starts giving her fashion tips. Something of a ditsy blonde, she makes Beth realize that she's a 'wee lesbian' and brings her home to meet the ladies: Anna and Anna Maria. They're darker, more mysterious. And they come crawling into bed with Beth and Annabelle one night…
