Magnus Watt is a creative grafter from the Scottish Highlands who spent twenty years in Edinburgh before settling in Middlesbrough with his wife and two young daughters. He juggles office work, stand-up comedy, and the ongoing battle to finish a cup of coffee before it goes cold.
Magnus is fascinated by stories where the strange and everyday collide, where ancient mysteries quietly linger in modern places, and where humour and grief often coexist. He is drawn to flawed characters, stubborn settings, and dialogue that captures the raw, messy, and heartfelt rhythms of real conversation.
His debut novel, Soon Enough, was written in the scattered moments between work, bedtime stories, and life’s unpredictable chaos. Magnus is now expanding that world with further books, exploring the rich tapestry he has created and continuing to follow where the story leads.
