Joseph Keeler wrote his first mystery when he was eleven. It was only a few pages long, but it sparked a lifelong love of storytelling, nurtured by a mother who read aloud to him and his siblings every chance she could. After graduating from BYU Law School, Joseph served in the U.S. Army as a JAG officer and military judge. Through it all, he never stopped telling stories to his children and grandchildren or taking them on adventures to zoos and parks.
Today, Joseph combines his love of adventure, animals, and mystery in the Agents of Keyhaven chapter book series for ages 6–9. He lives with his wife near the Rocky Mountains in Utah, where they explore the outdoors with their grandchildren, tend a large garden, and share their backyard with six curious chickens.
