When 15-year-old Slavik’s dissident parents disappear, he can’t find any help on their planet Krasny. His magic and his friends are powerless against the Council, the planetary totalitarian government. Dad spoke warmly of Earth, the original home of Krasny’s people. Slavik has no choice but to escape there through a secret magic portal.
Soon after arrival, he discovers that the Council plans to attack Earth. Together with his new friend Rita, a talented psychic, a sharp-witted, and overall cool girl, Slavik must find his parents, prevent the war, and help overthrow the Council.
