Bonnie Solomon is a novelist and screenwriter who crafts humorous, uplifting stories set in magical worlds. Her favorite genres are cozy fantasy and hopepunk. A Midwest native and seasoned Hollywood professional, Bonnie has worked in feature film development with industry giants like Walden Media and DreamWorks Animation. Her notes have helped shape many films, including Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and The Wild Robot. As a creative consultant, she has written film and TV treatments, edited novels, and coached writers from outline to final draft. As a queer author, Bonnie is committed to authentic and aspirational LGBTQ+ representation. Her debut novel, Pearly Gates, features a deceased drag queen turned afterlife sanitation worker who cons her way into a spirit guide gig at a small-town bookshop café, where she must help three troubled locals, dodge a pair of celestial detectives, and navigate a love triangle with her reincarnated soulmate. When she’s not writing, you can find Bonnie cuddling her cat, shaking it loose on the dance floor, or searching for the best latte in LA.
