They agreed to fake it, but they never expected it to burn this hot.
A bachelor-for-life outdoorsman and a touch-starved woman living in a flooded bookshop fake date for their best friend’s wedding in this smart, steamy, small town romance.
When Willow Porter moves to a charming lake town, she’s convinced she’s finally found where she belongs. There’s just one problem: the bookshop she bought comes with a flooded first floor, a crumbling attic apartment, and a slew of repairs to make before opening for the fall tourist season. Not to mention, a grumpy thorn in her side that happens to be six foot five and the only person around to help.
Logan Green likes his quiet life exactly as it is. As the last single man in his friend group, he’s tired of being everyone’s favorite matchmaking project. So when the headstrong bookshop owner needs a date for their best friends’ wedding, and Logan is also lacking a plus-one, a fake relationship seems like the perfect solution to get their friends off both their backs.
Until Willow needs a place to sleep, and ends up living at Logan’s lake house while she restores her shop—their friends are thrilled!
But as fake living together turns into late-night conversations by campfires, slow dancing, and even slower kissing, Willow discovers the kind of chemistry she thought existed only in romance novels. And Logan starts wanting things he never planned for.
There’s just one catch: Logan is leaving town.
With Willow finally building a life she loves on Spirit Lake and Logan determined to start over somewhere else, getting burned by love is the one thing neither of them can afford.
