Two weeks after helping to stop the Society of Saint Amurray from launching an attack on the Faekind, life in the magical Curiousium is chugging right along. For Archie Dauphine, this means several things: helping an eager young Benoctohari find books to learn English, interacting with the human patrons who now frequently wander the building alongside their Faekind neighbors, and working tirelessly with his colleagues to help bridge the gap between the magical and mortal.
Most importantly, though, is Archie’s newest adventure: embarking on a romantic relationship with Detective Rowan Blake, much to the enthusiastic approval of his daughter Ada.
Yes, things are running smoothly… until Barb, Archie’s dwarven friend and colleague, is attacked during the opening race of the WHIRL season. When Ada is targeted a few days later, it becomes clear that someone in Homevale still has a problem with humans and Faekind peacefully coexisting.
Unfortunately for that person, Rowan, Archie, and their Curiousium family—along with some new friends—are on the case.
