Former rivals find themselves acting and sleeping in a living history museum.
Fern Gordon and Elias Bradley have history, and not the good kind.
Elias may have started off as Fern’s twin brother’s best friend, but spending over a decade in fierce competition led to festering bad blood. The rivalry culminated in their dream of being the first from their hometown to make it on Broadway. When both return home without a credit to their name, they’re stuck right back where they started: their Indiana childhood bedrooms. Eager to escape her infuriating brother, Fern discovers a local living history museum is looking for actors for its new dinner theater program.
Unfortunately for her, Elias has already been hired. Unwilling to give up the opportunity for free room and board at the historic Spencer House, Fern doesn’t fully appreciate the repercussions of living and working beside her old nemesis. The intimate quarters (and romantic scripts) make avoiding each other difficult and hating each other even harder. On top of that, Spencer House’s elderly caretaker seems to be intent on running the place into the ground. If Fern and Elias are unable to overcome their fraught past, they may find their relationship, their jobs and the museum itself are ancient history.
