Hazel wrote her first book in third grade, Reggie Excapes, about a sea turtle escaping his doom of becoming a makeup case. These days, she writes happier books about humans falling in love and their stumbling story toward happily ever after. She also now utilizes spell check.
Born and raised near Salt Lake City, Utah, she’s grateful to be surrounded by mountains, the shift of seasons, and her sweet family. She has two sons, two daughters, and one husband who skillfully turns chaos into calm.
Other loves include her dog—Elizabeth Bennet, fresh notebooks, and reading. Confrontations are not her thing, but she gives a decent pep talk!
