Everything not saved will be lost. Continue?
Tony's life is ordinary by design. Same route to work. Same happy hour drinks. Same daily routines. A small, sufficient world.
But there's a break-in while he's at work. The apartment is untouched, save for the deleted, unheard voicemail. And then the dread sets in—quiet, sourceless, and total.
As Tony begins to unravel, the world around him shifts in ways he can't quite name. Details he's certain of turn uncertain. Memories he trusts begin to betray him. And two people who claim to know him are asking him to trust them with something he can't afford to lose.
The Persistence of Memory is a novel about autonomy, identity, and the faint sense that the world is slightly, incorrectly, wrong—and what it costs to be yourself in a world that has already decided what you are.
