She betrayed her king to save the Wood Fae forest. The Warder who captures her believes she came to destroy it.
Morenya wanted nothing more than a quiet life filled with books and scholarly debate. Instead, the king forced her to awaken a dangerous relic and ordered her to use its magic to rot the Wood Fae forest.
She chose treason instead.
Fleeing with the relic and the king’s soldiers at her heels, Morenya crosses into a sacred grove, where Orran, a powerful Wood Fae Warder, captures her before she can explain why she has come. He calls her Viper.
To Orran, humans are destroyers, and Morenya carries a poison capable of erasing everything he has sworn to protect. Her conscience means little beside the ancestral trees already lost or the grief he refuses to release. Yet the relic cannot be destroyed, and Morenya is the only one who can carry it safely.
Forced to escort her deep into the Drowned Swamps, Orran becomes both her captor and her guard. Their journey through the Drowned Swamps is filled with elemental forest magic, sparring banter, clashing beliefs, and slow-burning attraction neither wants. The defiant scholar challenges his hatred of humans, while the hostile Warder begins protecting the woman he once considered his enemy.
But the king still wants his relic, and his soldiers are closing in. To survive, Morenya and Orran must decide whether the trust growing between them is stronger than the wounds keeping them apart.
Viper & the Wood Warder is a spicy romantasy novella filled with philosophical banter, slow-burn tension, dangerous pursuit, elemental forest magic, and a Wood Warder who begins to question every hatred he carries for the woman he cannot stop protecting.
