Vojtěch Valoušek is a Czech author, poet, and artist who gives a voice to the rawest and often overlooked human emotions. His journey with writing began at the age of fifteen.
His work is deeply influenced by his personal journey with OCD, depression, anxiety, and borderline personality traits, lending his poetry an authenticity that resonates with anyone who has ever felt unseen.
For ‘Misunderstood’, he personally designed the cover, layout, and overall aesthetic. Each poem is accompanied by his own illustrations, creating a visual dialogue that breathes life into his words.
Driven by a vision to make his work accessible to readers in his home country, Vojtěch set out to adapt the English original into his native Czech – he rewrote the entire collection to ensure it retained the same soul, rhythm, and emotional weight as the original.
In March 2026, his crowdfunding campaign for the Czech edition reached 112% of its goal, ensuring the book’s release later this year.
