At the edge of death, Clove Helrose faces a choice: die at the hands of her jealous lover or become indebted to a feral god and live.
The witch has no intention of honoring her magical debt, but when she receives her first order, she can’t fight her curiosity. The feral god is commanding her to return to her childhood home, a place where the woods whisper your name and sirens lure men into the tumultuous sea.
After a life of thievery, Clove expects judgment and disapproval upon her return. Instead she’s attacked by an Angel of Death, whose dreamy eyes and devious intentions leave her craving his kiss of death.
With dark forces gaining power, Clove must decide what kind of witch she wants to be: the villain she always has been or the hero her town needs.
