They learn the hard way that Life and Death cannot compete.
Millenia ago, Ustrinia and Veles were banished from the Caelum to the lands they protect, cursed to reincarnate as mortals, prophesied to destroy each other and the world around them.
On their hundredth lives, they reincarnate as Princess Laylana Devlikani and King Draven Morozov, leaders of their Kingdoms Thousand-Sun-War. But Laylana leads a double life, taking on the role of the Red Assassin, targeting problematic political figures, namely Draven’s court. And when Draven sets out to take out the Red Assassin, he instead develops an obsession fuelled by their prophecy to defeat Laylana and reclaim his place in the Caelum.
Then, a mysterious new enemy arises, which forces them to join their Kingdoms in a political marriage and work together to defeat it.
Now the question arises: will they be able to put aside their differences for the sake of their people, or will the prophecy be fulfilled?
