THEY NEEDED A WITNESS. THEY GOT AN AUTHOR.
Richard Elmes is a novelist who hasn’t finished a book in four years.
One morning, staring across the courtyard from his apartment, he sees something he cannot quite explain. Something he probably shouldn’t have seen.
For the first time in years, Richard knows exactly what to write.
But writers have a dangerous habit: they notice things. They reshape them. They turn lives into stories and convince themselves that observation is not involvement.
As the blank page begins to fill, Richard must decide where witnessing ends and authorship begins.
An 80-page literary psychological suspense novella about a possible murder and a writer who knows every crime looks better on the page.
