Paul Doerfling is the author of the fantasy heist novel Mask of Varenza. He has been playing Dungeons & Dragons since he was 12 years old. This lifelong passion for creative narratives instilled in him a long-standing love of adventure and exciting storytelling. After he retired from the tech industry, he started writing as an exercise to get the stories in his head down on paper. Masks of Varenza is his first novel and the first book in the Varenza Trilogy.

Paul lives in Vancouver, B.C., with his partner and teenage daughter. He loves video games, painting miniatures, watching movies, and sneaking treats to Henry, the family’s part-time dog.
