This New Year’s Eve, I arrived on a tropical island to rest and relax. Love wasn’t on the plan!
This New Year’s Eve, I arrived on a tropical island with only two things in mind:
Fun and relaxation.
By that, I meant living vicariously through my cousin, who invited me to her dream destination wedding on a Caribbean Island. It’s supposed to be the perfect getaway I desperately needed after working myself to the ground for the past three years. Instead, I found a boss who wouldn’t let me breathe for even a fraction of a second.
When I tossed my phone into the sea to escape her demands in the heat of the moment, I panicked and rushed into the waves, but I forgot one itty-bitty little detail: I can’t swim. Just as I’m desperate enough to drown myself for the sake of saving my job, a dashing lifeguard pulls me back to my senses. And when he jumps into the sea to try and save my phone, I realize he’s either a merman, which would be insane, or the fastest swimmer I’ve ever seen.
It had to be the latter, right?
Tall, tanned, with a boyish-cute smile and dimples that could melt ice, he pulled me to safety, and sparks flew. I didn’t know that love at first sight was real, and yet, everything about Ayden Noble makes me believe that anything could be possible…
Even something that shouldn’t be like who he truly is.
I might not be that off with my theory that he could be something unworldly after all. And this holiday, I’m about to find out that there are many fish in the sea and true love is worth diving for.
