Cash-In-Transit vans were ripe for the picking. Supermarket checkouts had a bountiful supply of folding notes. And, for the truly daring, a retirement fund of riches could be harvested from any high street jeweller.
The only downside to this easy wealth was the difficulty of holding onto ill-gotten gains in a dog-eat-dog world where no one could be truly trusted.
But, for one 90s thief, the solution is simple: keep a journal of every incriminating act and threaten to share that information if any colleague tries to wrong you.
