Raised on the lovely island of St. Lucia, Elainie La Force began her writing journey at six years old, stapling blank sheets together to create 'toy' books. Her first short story in first grade about stealing fish from her mother's kitchen was pinned to the school board for months, praised for its dark comedy, which is a voice she maintains even twenty-two years later. Today, she is a royalty-collecting songwriter and full-time accountant, finally realizing her lifelong dream of becoming a published author. La Force spent her teenage years in extreme social isolation, spending her time writing poetry for local magazines and co-producing and writing music for Caribbean artists. With an almost mischievous, "Gallows Humour" writing voice, she has novels in the works across multiple genres. Her writing process is described to be acting simply as a medium for stories that want to be unearthed. She allows the narrative to naturally guide her through a free-writing style.
