When Eden Lucas met up with her best friend for lunch, she never expected the world to end. Now, with one exception, every living organism on Earth has been destroyed. Trees. Bacteria. And every single person that Eden loved. She’s on the knife-edge of despair when a strange train appears, hovering above the ground, offering salvation from the remains of her life.
On board, she finds mystery after mystery: meals that appear just by thinking about them; doors that open into a vacuum; new friends whose ages and experiences don't seem to make any sense. Worst of all is the profoundly unsettling monochrome world the train travels through.
