Julia Tong holds a Second Upper Honors degree in Chinese Studies, specializing in history, culture, religions, and mythology. Growing up, she read romances in English, Chinese and Japanese, and was fascinated by the vastly different tropes and male leads each culture favors. A lifelong bookworm who reads as obsessively as any romance fan, she writes in both English and Chinese. With the Ballad of the Five Seasons series, she hopes to bring her own brand of Chinese historical romance to English readers in a format that feels both fresh and familiar.
