A.M. Bennett is a Scotland-based author of dark urban fantasy and hard-boiled crime. Living in a country where the rain is practically a character in itself, she draws direct inspiration from the Scottish weather to paint the soaking, atmospheric streets of Ravenholt.
She is the creator of the Echoes of Vaelor series, which begins with the prequel novella The Copper Rain and continues in her upcoming debut novel, Brand of Dusk (2026).
When not writing about Detective Selene Rowan navigating the shadows, Bennett is usually attempting to manage a chaotic household consisting of a husband, two teenage sons, one dog, and three cats. As if that was not enough, she also runs a personalised products business and manages a holiday cottage. Writing is her escape—a place where she can pour that energy into something gritty, magical, and entirely her own.
