I write science fiction and paranormal stories from central California, though my imagination never fully left the Pacific Northwest. I lived on horse ranch acreage near the Gifford Pinchot National Forest for years, and that landscape got into my head and stayed. The forests, the volcanoes, the rivers, the rain. It all became the world of Red Powder Mountain, the first book in my Red Powder Earth series.
Red Powder Mountain is a post-apocalyptic military sci-fi novel about an alien invasion, a stolen weapon that bonds to a young soldier's arm, and a desperate fight through the ruins of Portland. I built this world over many years, and I'm excited to finally share it.
When I'm not writing, I'm watching NFL and college football, taking photographs, riding my bike, or making art that may or may not ever see the light of day.
