Dr. Allison N. Kurti is a writer and scientist living in Maryland. She completed her Ph.D. in experimental psychology at the University of Florida, after which she held positions in both academia as a research assistant professor and in government service. She currently serves as a scientific review officer at the National Institutes of Health. Allison is drawn to the humor, tenderness, and complexities of modern motherhood. In addition to writing, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, traveling, exercising, and cherishing the many small joys that make life meaningful. The Cost of Loving Carefully is her debut novel.
