Charles Haugen is a writer based in Houston, Texas. Dawn of Defiance is his debut novel and the first book in the Manus Dei Chronicles, a planned six-book grimdark space opera series.
Before turning to novels, he edited cosmic horror magazines and anthologies. His short fiction has appeared in Weirdbook and the anthology Mannequin: Tales of Wood Made Flesh.
When not writing about gods, augmentations, and fractured souls, he lives with his wife and their dog, Thor.
