My name is Mark and I’m an Irish author of folk horror and gothic fiction.
I’m drawn to stories where the landscape feels alive and the past refuses to stay buried, my work explores folklore, mystery, isolation, and the hidden histories that shape ordinary lives.
My debut novel, The Devil's Heirloom, blends atmospheric horror with Irish folklore, following a man who inherits a remote estate and discovers that some family legacies come at a terrible cost.
I draw much of my inspiration through traditional ghost stories, myths, and the darker corners of Irish history, I tend to favour fiction that is slow-burning dread, unsettling mysteries, and places that seem to have a mind of their own.
I live in Ireland and am currently working on future projects under the Foxford Press imprint.
When I’m not writing, I continue my adventures in fiction through tabletop roleplaying games such as Dungeons & Dragons and Call of Cthulhu, where terrible decisions and questionable encounters with the supernatural are all part of the experience.
