Alex McNab-Lundbäck has been a writer for over 15 years, working across journalism, government communications, and storytelling. After years of crafting words for news, policies, and leadership, he has now stepped into the world of children’s middle-grade fiction, where imagination takes center stage.
His debut novel, The Adventures of Ellie & Ninja Cat, was inspired by a comic book drawn by his daughter, Ellie, about a fearless black cat with ninja-like reflexes. That spark of creativity turned into a magical adventure series for 8-12-year-olds, blending mystery, glowing pawprints, and hidden worlds.
Originally from the UK, Alex now lives in Stockholm, Sweden, with his two children, Ellie and Ollie, along with an often annoying and mischievous cat, who while may have inspired Ninja Cat, is nothing like the one in the book!
When not writing, he enjoys exploring other worlds through gaming with his kids, as well as closer to home via cross-country skiing, trail running, and discovering the landscapes around his new home in Sweden.
