Douglas J. Ostling is a published author of short stories and full-length non-fiction who has also written, produced, and directed dramatic works for independent TV. He has been assistant director of the Summer Writers Conference at New York University and assistant producer of Readers Almanac when it aired on National Public Radio. When not writing, he relaxes by reading, watching film noir, and enjoying a glass of single malt while listening to jazz.
The Art of Obsession, the inaugural entry in his mystery / crime fiction series, The Hazard Casebook Chronicles, was released in fall of 2025. The sequel, Blood Rituals, will launch later summer of 2026.
