Joseph McRae Palmer crafts immersive worlds at the crossroads of fantasy, science fiction, and the unknown. When he's not writing about monsters, magic, or the technological frontiers of tomorrow, he works as an engineer in the telecommunications industry. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University, which he mostly uses to help people communicate with each other.
Joseph grew up among the misty forests and rugged coastline of Sitka, Alaska—a place that continues to inspire his love for wild landscapes and mysterious forces. He has also lived in central Mexico and now resides in northern Utah with his wife Beatriz, their four children, and an ever-growing stack of fantasy novels that he swears he's going to finish reading.
