Matthew Correa was born in Brooklyn, New York, and has been writing stories since the age of five. Though he stepped away from writing for much of his teenage years, he returned to it in his twenties, finding himself once again in pursuit of the stories that refused to leave him.
He believes that stories are discovered as much as they are written. Rather than imposing complete control over them, he prefers to work in partnership with the narrative, allowing each one to reveal what it has to say in its own time.
Much of Matthew's work explores the meeting point between the waking world and the fantastic. To him, fantasy is never mere ornamentation or escape, but a means of expressing truths that realism alone often fails to capture.
