Eamon Fani is / was a doctor, which means he spent years learning to read biological vital signs and then decided to spend the rest of his life doing other vital things. He hosts a podcast and a YouTube channel in Persian, both loitering at the intersection of psychology, philosophy, mysticism, natural science, and fiction—an intersection with no traffic lights, where he has been standing for some time, taking notes. You might call him an interdisciplinary researcher. He would not stop you.
He has published a collection of poems and a collection of short stories in Persian, and translated a selection of Alain de Botton's School of Life essays. A few English fiction and non-fiction works are currently in the making, which is a phrase writers use the way gardeners say the tomatoes are coming along.
When he is not reading or writing, he takes long walks in nature and practice archery—two disciplines that have taught him the same lesson from opposite directions: most of the work is in the standing still.
