D.L. won The National Film Board Award for Best Pitch (New Players) at the Banff World Media Festival. She studied writing at the Banff Centre with Canadian icons W.O. Mitchell and Alice Munro. Earning a two year diploma in film and television she has worked as: Casting Director, Extras Casting, Production Assistant, Accounts Payable on such films as Legends of the Fall, The Edge, Cool Runnings, Children of the Dust, One More Mountain etc.
D.L. Randle, like many writers, has had a variety of jobs including: ER Nursing Unit Clerk, Aircraft Cleaner, Dude Ranch Wrangler, Truck Driver, Housekeeper, Waitress, Data Entry Clerk.
She is working on her next novel about a girl in the 60's volunteering at an animal rescue who discovers she has a psychic connection with the cats and dogs in her care.
