As an author of post-apocalyptic and dystopian fiction, my writing focuses on characters that drive the action, exploring how ordinary individuals respond in an apocalypse - either showing resilience and bravery, or succumbing to their primal instincts. Born in Washington, D.C., I was raised inside the Capitol Beltway, studied agriculture in college in the Mid-west, and then gave in to my wanderlust, crossing the country to live my best hippy life in Davis, California, then Los Angeles, until settling down in Maryland.
Now, I live on a money pit of a hobby farm in beautiful central Maryland, outside the D. C. area, with my partner, horses, miniature donkey, dog, cat and Amazon parrot. When I'm not shoveling manure or dust mopping tumbleweeds of animal hair out from under the furniture, I endurance ride my Arabians and hike, and… well, write!
