I grew up with a story always waiting to be told. As a child, I once felt so sorry that ants didn't have books to read that I sat down and wrote them some—and I haven't stopped writing since.
Mother of three and grandmother of one, I live in northwest Missouri with my husband and youngest child. I am a dedicated teacher by day and a storyteller at heart, finding inspiration in the everyday moments that make life both beautiful and complicated. When I'm not writing or in the classroom, I love to read, travel, and throw myself wholeheartedly into whatever new hobby has caught my attention.
Killing Emmalee is my debut novel—a young adult thriller that explores the raw, tangled journey of growing up. I hope young readers find in its pages both the thrill of a gripping story and the comfort of feeling truly understood.
