Dr. Jeff Gardner received his MA in Medieval History from the University of Kansas and holds a Ph.D. in Communication and Media Studies from Regent University.
For over a decade and a half, he has worked in media, writing and taking photographs for various publications and organizations across North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. His work has been featured in numerous national and international publications and broadcasts.
When not writing, Dr. Gardner is happiest in deep green, wild spaces. Raised in the West, between the Rockies and the Wasatch, he has backpacked many of the world's great mountain ranges. His favorite on-trail mantras are: “A bad day on trail beats a good day at work,” “Are there cheeseburgers yet?”, and “Remember, you asked for this!”
