Aanya Anand is a sophomore at Tom Glenn High School. Writing is, for her, a kind of escape—a place to step into and lose herself for a while—and it sits alongside a love of music that spans a lot of different genres. She's a reader too, and her favorite book of the moment is White Nights, and her creative streak runs well beyond the page, showing up in her art and photography as much as her writing. When she isn't immersed in a project of her own, she's happiest spending time with close friends and family. She's drawn to medicine as a future career, pulled by both the science behind it and the chance to help people directly—and she hopes to build a life that lets her do exactly that.
