Margo LaPierre (she/her) is a freelance literary editor and poet. She has won the Room poetry award, the subTerrain fiction award, and is the recipient of a SSHRC graduate scholarship. She wrote The Writers’ Union of Canada’s 2025 guidebook on the author-editor relationship. She has served on Arc Poetry Magazine’s executive and editorial boards since 2019 and is a member of the poetry collective VII. She holds a Creative Writing MFA from the University of British Columbia and a graduate certificate in publishing from Toronto Metropolitan University. She is a settler living in Ottawa on unceded Algonquin Anishinaabe land. Ajar is her second full-length poetry collection.
