A.E. Lange works as a crisis-management consultant after an early career as a criminal defense attorney. Both of these jobs have exposed him to a wide spectrum of humanity, convincing him of the grayness and moral ambiguity that reside within all of us. Apart from his day job, he is an insatiable consumer of horror in whatever medium he can find. While he is an avid reader of horror, fantasy, science fiction, and historical works, as a writer he gravitates toward character-driven tales that scare, frighten, or just leave the reader with an inescapable eeriness. Dead Season is his debut novel, and he’s currently at work on his next book from his home in Virginia.
