Eochaid Mac Colla is a writer and editor who works with early and medieval Irish sources.
He became fascinated by how the Irish experienced the sacred—in fields and kitchens; woods and mountains; on lonely islands and in busy monastery-cities—and how those ancient ways of seeing still resonate today.
When not writing, he spends his time walking, reading poetry, and studying the lives, languages and literature of the "far-Western civilization" in Ireland during 200 BCE to 1200 CE.
He is on a particular mission to visit every Bronze Age, Celtic and early Christian site in Ireland. There are over 10,000, so these pilgrimages will take some time!
