Dane Reavers writes from a life spent inside the machines. A US Navy veteran, he served as an Electronics Technician aboard the USS Vandegrift, navigating the world from the ports of Bahrain to Hong Kong. After the Navy, he returned to his roots in Portland, Oregon, working everywhere from the Nike Air-sole factory to the cleanrooms of Intel.
With a BS in Electrical Engineering from Portland State University, he later designed the very power and signal distributions that keep modern industrial systems running. This lifetime of technical expertise is the backbone of Aurora’s Edge, where he brings a "wrench-in-hand" authenticity to the grit and gears of deep space. A father of three, he continues to live and write in the Pacific Northwest, dedicated to stories of the people who keep the engines turning when everything else fails.
