Arnold W. Krause is a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War and author of Young Men in Harm’s Way. His leadership was recognized early in his military career. After entering the U.S. Army, he quickly rose from a private first class rifleman to staff sergeant, and later serving as a platoon sergeant during his tour with Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division (1968–1969).
A native of Santa Rosa, California, and an alumnus of Santa Rosa Junior College, Krause transitioned to a corporate career following his service, spending 33 years with AT&T in various technical and managerial leadership roles. After retiring in 2000, he chronicled his wartime experiences in his published memoir. Krause currently lives in Sparks, Nevada, with his wife, Jeanne. They are the proud parents of two children, Matthew and Jesse, and have five grandchildren.
