At 6, I wrote my first book, "You're Yucky in Some Ways", which was never published - probably one reason it never made the bestsellers' list. Since then, I haven't stopped writing.
After three middle-grade books (one co-written with my sister), I fell completely in love with an idea I had for a book: A mother-and-daughter duo that discovers the mom has a terminal illness and find a unique way (full of humor and tears) to share the rest of the daughter's life.
I developed the idea over two years, researching, adding details, and weaving together the story. I wanted to be sure I could bring the story to life in a way that would do it justice.
In addition to writing, I am the mom of six children, married to my best friend, and I work as a UX writer for Percepto (creator of the autonomous drone-in-a-box solution)! I love almost any type of craft and spent much of my free time during the past two years learning woodturning, including courses in Elbigenalp, Austria and Crete, Greece.
