Author K.J. Field believes planets have funny voices and the cosmos is trying to tell us something.
Her job is to listen deeply and write stories that connect astronomy lovers of all ages and backgrounds to the complex and beautiful ways of our universe. She mixes humor and space facts to tell stories that entertain, inspire, and inform.
K.J. Field is the voice behind the Planet Pluto on Twitter (handle: Plutoliveshere). She is currently working on a novel about Pluto from the perspective of the planet himself ("The Pluto Diaries: Confessions of a Former Ninth Planet"), and has just completed a screenplay for an animated feature on this topic. Her first publications will be fiction picture books for young children on a variety of astronomy topics, including the smells of space, the name-challenged seventh planet (Uranus), and the origin story of asteroids.
K.J. Field lives in San Francisco, California with her husband, two daughters, and three cats.
