Mavery Ellscott's first foray into writing was not as a thriller author. It was a journalistic undertaking.
Not one to shy away from a challenge, she convinced a neighbor to help her write and publish a newspaper. A pretty big endeavor for an eight-year-old armed with a bunch of scrap paper and her dad's old typewriter. Total circulation—two. Fortunately, her later publications fared better. She's even made it beyond the first round in a contest or two.
A conservationist, Mavery has won a few environmental awards. So, it's no surprise she yearns to write a high-speed chase with eco-friendly cars in one of her action-packed suspense thrillers splashed with romance and humor.
